(Please note: The information about our fees is subject to change).
Our initial consultation is a fixed fee. Contact us for details of the cost.
We charge fees using a combination of fixed-fee and hourly rates. We can talk with you about fixed fee services for:
- Applications for divorce;
- Consent orders for parenting or property, and
- Specific advice (such as advice concerning a proposed consent order).
Whether or not your matter is suitable for a fixed fee arrangement will need to be talked through at the initial consultation.
The hourly rate depends on the practitioner doing the work for you. We operate in a team model, with tasks allocated from time to time on resource availability. This helps speed up the service to you.
Our fees are charged in six minute units (i.e 10 units per hour). The minimum charge is one unit.
Prior to you instructing us to act on your behalf, we will send you our Costs Agreement, which sets out the specific terms of our fee structure and provides disclosure in accordance with the requirements of the Legal Profession Act 2007.
In all cases, we require a minimum running balance to be held on your behalf in our solicitor’s trust account. The amount will vary depending on the estimated cost of the work to be completed. Regrettably, we are unable to accept instructions to act on a deferred payment basis.
